Choirs Attends IWC Event
|
|
The ISM choir performed recently at the Spirit of Christmas event held at The Ukrainian Cultural Centre. The event was organised by the International Women's Club and marked the start of the festive season for many parents and guests. The Choir sang 6 songs which ended with 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas'. A big well done to the ISM choir and a thank you to the IWC for inviting them to perform.

Cinderella & Rockerfella
|
|
Lower School presented a modern, panto-style reworking of the classic tale, including all the traditional characters: downtrodden Cinderella, Rockerfella (formerly known as Prince Charming!) Buttons, the Ugly Sisters and the Fairy Godmother. Parents delighted at the incredible performances of all the children involved. It was a truly magical performance and one which will be remembered for a long time to come. Well done Lower School!

Scrooge

On the 2nd & 3rd of December ISM's Middle School presented Scrooge to the whole school and their parents. The performance was remarkable and saw all children from Year 4 - Year 7 perform. Well done to all the actors/singers and a big thank you to all staff and parents involved in what was a stunning and very memorable performance.

FS Production

|
The Foundation Stage children were very proud to present ‘The Nativity’ to all of their friends and family. The children all worked very hard on the production, learning songs and stepping into parts which were not originally allocated to them. It was fantastic to see so many children enjoying showing their parents what they had been working so hard on. The year one children who were the narrators did a fantastic job, a huge thank you to them, their parents and teachers for working with them. The production would not have been the success it was without the help and support of the Foundation Stage parents, many of whom gave up their time make the set and some of the costumes.

ISM Open Days

|
Over a three week period, the Foundation Stage, Lower School and Middle School invited all parents to school to find out about the teaching and learning of various subjects. Each school phase presented different subjects, with Communication, Language and Literacy in Foundation Stage, Big Writing in Lower School and Core Subjects in Middle School. Parents were then treated to a fantastic lesson which saw them becoming even more involved in their child's learning.

ISM UN Day
|
|
ISM celebrated UN Day this year with a guest speaker from UNICEF, Jacqueline Gaskell spoke to the children in the morning assembly before touring the school visiting all the different countries represented. Each classroom had been decorated to represent a different country with children mostly in national costume being split into their houses to visit them. In each room there was food, drinks and an arts and craft activity, enabling the students of ISM to gain an insight into many different cultures. Lots of parents volunteered to make the ISM UN Day a great success - thank you very much!
