Sports

Physical Education (P.E.) forms an integral part of the curriculum at the school and is also a major area of extra curricular activity. It is considered a healthy way to develop pupils' physical competence and confidence. It also promotes physical co-ordination, physical development and knowledge of the body in action.

Physical education provides opportunities for pupils to be creative, competitive and to face up to different challenges as individuals and in groups and teams. It promotes positive attitudes towards active and healthy lifestyles.

The International School of Moscow is blessed with being located inside an Olympic park, allowing easy access to a number of sports facilities including:an indoor football pitch, ice-hockey stadium, bowling alley and many many more.

We also employ a specialist P.E. teacher from the UK who has many years experience teaching internationally and he brings a wealth of experience not only in sports such as football, cricket, basketball etc., but also in swimming.

Swimming forms a big part of the Autumn and Summer term's P.E. Curriculum with regular trips to the pool for our students. All students try for certificates which are awarded at the end of every academic year.
